Band of Brothers News

Alright guys there are tons of things getting ready to happen involving the LTC Band of Brothers. First off we finally have our t-shirts in and they can be purchased through myself or Carrie. The shirts are 15 dollars and are going fast. The funds we have left will go towards a general fund to help with further Band of Brothers activities. Next on Feb. 6th we have two events, one is the set-up/tear-down training day staring at 8am for all mean serving in that ministry. This is to update crews on changes to Sunday mornings and make sure everyone is on the same page. Also on Feb. 6th we will also be having our annual Super Bowl party and Mark Schnoors house ( call church office for directions) the main dish and drinks provided we ask that everyone brings a side dish or snack food. Also there will we no women or children at this event. Just to clarify this is because we want to use this event to reach men that maybe don't go to church or they are not involved and a lot of men get turned off or won't come back if women and children are present.
For the younger men we will be playing flag football the first Saturday of every month if interested see me and I will give you the info. Also there is a golf ministry as well you can see pastor norm or pat butler for info on that. We will be having our next Band of Brothers meeting sometime in Feb. We need to start planning for the Easter event and I need volunteers to serve in the nursery and preschool on Mothers Day because we want all the ladies to have to day off that Sunday.Some Encouragement 1peter 5:8-9-Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. We are all brothers in Christ and we all deal with the same temptations and sufferings in our lives at some point and we  need to stick together and truly be that "Band of Brothers" we need to encourage and support one another and always be on alert  for Satan's attacks because he does not want a group of Christian men united because when we are we are able to do great things for the kingdom of God. Let's go Men and continue to Break the Cycle!

Attention Band of Brothers

Hey guys just a reminder that your Band of Brothers T-shirt money is due on the 19th of dec. Also we still need men for set-up and tear-down crew for 2011! We also need to continue to help each other grow in Christ and make more of a commitment to serve God and our community this new year. We need to continue to reach men and share the gospel with them and begin to "Break the Cycle!" We have had an awesome year and have really set a solid foundation for our Band of Brothers ministry. We need to continue to fuel the fire and not let the coals die down and loose the momentum that we have built. We need to continue to give God complete control of this ministry and continue to pray hard morning noon and night. Just think if all the men in our church began praying like this, if we became just crazy prayer warriors! Just thinking about what God has planned for our church and for our men gets me pumped for this year and I hope you feel the same way! Thanks for all the work that you have done this past year and I look foward to serving along side the men of LTC in 2011.
